Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using Ace, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. What Ace does

Ace is a macOS application that listens to your calls and interviews and provides real-time AI-powered suggestions, transcriptions, and coaching. It is a personal productivity tool intended to help you perform better in professional conversations.

3. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use Ace.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Ace offers free and paid plans (Plus and Pro). Paid plans are billed monthly or annually. You can cancel at any time — cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial periods unless required by law.

5. Fair use

Plus and Pro plans include unlimited calls. "Unlimited" means unlimited for genuine personal professional use — job interviews, sales calls, meetings, and similar individual use cases.

Fair use applies. We reserve the right to limit or suspend accounts that show usage patterns inconsistent with personal use, including but not limited to:

• Automated or scripted usage
• Reselling or redistributing Ace's output
• Using the service on behalf of multiple people under a single account
• Systematic bulk processing

The vast majority of users will never be affected by this policy. It exists to protect service quality for everyone.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Ace for any illegal purpose
• Record conversations without the consent of all parties where required by law
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app
• Use Ace to harass, deceive, or harm others

You are responsible for complying with applicable recording consent laws in your jurisdiction. In some regions, all parties to a conversation must consent to being recorded.

7. Intellectual property

Ace and its original content, features, and design are owned by Ace and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The AI-generated suggestions produced by the app are yours to use freely.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

Ace is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that AI suggestions will be accurate. AI output is a tool to assist you — always apply your own judgement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ace shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting hello@tryace.app.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of France.
