Privacy Policy

Ace ("we", "us", or "our") is a Mac application that provides real-time AI assistance during calls. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what we don't do with it.

What we collect

We collect only what's necessary to provide the service:

• Account information — your email address and password (hashed), used to authenticate your account.
• Subscription data — your billing plan and payment status, managed by Stripe. We do not store card details.
• Session metadata — timestamps and duration of your Ace sessions, used to enforce plan limits and show your activity history.
• Usage analytics — anonymous, aggregated data such as feature usage counts. No personally identifiable information is included.

What we don't collect

• Your audio — microphone input is processed locally on your Mac in real time and never uploaded or stored.
• Your call transcripts — transcribed text exists only in memory for the duration of your session. When you close Ace, it's gone. We cannot access what was said.
• Screen recordings — screenshots taken with the screenshot solver are sent directly to the AI model for analysis and are not stored on our servers.

How we use your data

• To authenticate you and manage your subscription
• To enforce plan limits (e.g. call count on the Free plan)
• To send transactional emails (receipts, password resets)
• To improve the product using aggregated, anonymous analytics

Third-party services

Ace relies on the following third parties to operate:

• Anthropic (Claude) — AI model used to generate answer suggestions. Transcribed text is sent to Anthropic's API during an active session. Anthropic's privacy policy applies.
• Deepgram — speech-to-text transcription. Audio is processed locally; only the resulting text may be sent to Deepgram's API depending on your plan settings.
• Supabase — backend infrastructure for authentication, session metadata, and account settings.
• Stripe — payment processing. We never see or store your card details.

Data retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data is removed within 30 days. Session metadata (timestamps, duration) is deleted along with your account.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing us. If you're in the EU or UK, you have additional rights under GDPR/UK GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Children

Ace is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you by email or via the app if we make material changes. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
